This apparatus for grilling the food has a turntable 1, a means 10 for rotatably driving the turntable 1, a tunnel-shaped hood 17 and a means 21 for feeding a liquid assistant material, capable of spraying or dropping the liquid assistant material such as water and soup on the hood 17. The ring-like grilling face 16 on the turntable 1 is divided to a plurality of regions in the circumferential direction, and heaters 25a to 25f, temperature sensors 28a to 28f and controlling means 30a to 30f are arranged in each division respectively. Each of the controlling means 30a to 30f controls each of the heaters 25a to 25f at each division based on the detected temperature detected by the temperature sensors 28a to 28f separately at the time so that the temperature of the grilling face in each of the divisions may be the set temperature.
