To provide an apparatus for low pressure casting as the main targets, i.e., (1) a casting cycle is not stopped when molten metal is delivered from a melting furnace, (2) the molten metal surface in a pouring furnace is kept constant for the purpose of controlling the pressurization at the good precision and stabilizing the quality and (3) the static transportation of the molten metal for the purpose of stabilizing the quality is performed.
This apparatus for low pressure casting is composed of a casting part provided with a metallic mold and a mechanism that can open/close the metallic mold and the pouring furnace provided with a stoke for pouring the molten metal into a cavity in the metallic mold in the casting part, and a supplemental furnace which can supplement the molten metal into the pouring furnace in the low pressure casting furnace. The pouring furnace in the low pressure casting furnace is provided with a shifting means which can carry out from the lower part of the casting part and a driving means vertically driven so as to attach/detach the upper end of the stoke to the metallic mold. Further, the supplemental furnace is arranged by fixing near the side part to the shifting direction of the pouring furnace, and has the structure to supplement the molten metal into the pouring furnace from the supplemental furnace under state of fixing the upper end of the stoke in the pouring furnace to the metallic mold in the casting part.
