Title:
APPARATUS FOR MEASURING AMPLITUDE OF VERTEBRA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH067325
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily measure each state of twist, bend-extension and horizontal bend between two vertebrae by having two reference members fastened to each vertebra and a constitution to convey these members' movements to needles connected to dials via a link system. CONSTITUTION: This equipment has two little columns 4 and 5 to measure bending movement of an axis X-Y in a plane P, twist of one vertebra against the other in a plane Q and bending movement (horizontal bend) of an axis X-Y in a plane R. Respective one ends of columns 4 and 5 are fastened respectively to vertebrae 1 and 2 by transplanted pieces or screws 6 and 7, respectively. On rods 11, 19 and 24 fastened respectively to columns 4 and 5 via slanting flat parts 10 and 18, carriages 12 and 20 with each of dials 13, 21 and 26 fastened, are set for free nutation and designed so that needles 15b, 22 and 33 connecting to respective dials 11, 19 and 26 can be rotated via a uniquely- composed link system.
