A plurality of digital images are input by an image input section 11, and the geometric characteristic amount of the main subject is recognized from each of the plurality of digital images input by the input section 11 by a processing reference determination function 20. From each of the geometric characteristic amounts recognized by the function 20, correction is made by an image processing function 40 to get geometrically constant uniformity for the main subject in the respective images constituting the plurality of digital images, and the corrected image is output from an image output section 13.
