To provide an oxygen concentration-increasing apparatus and method for increasing the oxygen concentration in water and prolonging the disinfection time.
This apparatus is provided with a high pressure pump 1, an ozone injection apparatus 2, a closed container 3 having a water inlet 30 and a water outlet 31, a temperature decrease apparatus 4, and an ultrasonic vibrator 5. At first, pressure is applied to water subjected to reverse osmosis membrane treatment, ultrafiltration treatment, distillation treatment, or cleaning treatment and having a high purity by the high pressure pump 1 and ozone in a high concentration is injected to the highly pure water by the ozone injection apparatus 2. The resultant water into which ozone is injected is put in the closed container 3 at a prescribed pressure, the temperature is decreased by the temperature decrease apparatus 4 to keep the temperature at a prescribed low temperature, and the water is stirred by the ultrasonic vibrator 5.
