The apparatus has an airtight chamber (21) with the cold-cathode display device using a CNT at an electron emission part arranged inside, a vacuum-degree adjustment part (21a, 21b, 23, 24) for making the inside of the airtight chamber in a vacuum state, a gas guide-in part (26) for guiding in required gas easy to respond to carbon inside the airtight chamber of the vacuum state, and a power supply (25) for applying voltage at least between a cathode electrode and a gate electrode of the cold-cathode display device in the airtight chamber with the above gas filled.
