Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor, an image processing method, a computer program, and a recording medium which enable optimization of the relation between the quantity of information addable as additional information and the quantity of inspection bits for error correction.
SOLUTION: When a specified printer 15 is designated from a machine kind ID acquisition portion 18, an error correction parameter is determined by an error correction parameter determining portion 17 according to the kind of the designated printer 15. Using the determined error correction parameter, coding of additional information x(i) into error correction codes is carried out by a correction encoder 13, and multiplied information y1(j) is formed. In addition, the multiplied information y1(j) is embedded in image information D1 in an additional information multiplication portion 14, and is inputted to the printer 15 as image information D2. In this way, the image information D2 into which the additional information x(i) has been embedded is outputted as a printed image 16, in the printer 15.
