Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for treating wastes including bagged wastes having high reliability and capable of achieving high throughput.SOLUTION: In an apparatus for treating bagged wastes: bag cutting means 3 and classification means 5 are connected in series as a part of a conduit 7; a bag filled with wastes is pneumatically transported along the conduit 7 using an air flow; the waste bag is surely cut and opened by the bag cutting means 3 during pneumatic transportation along the conduit 7; cut and opened bagged wastes are classified by the classification means 5; and further one portion of the items of the wastes captured by the air flow is separated by a cyclone 13 connected to a rear part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
