Title:
APPARATUS FOR MOUNTING AND DEMOUNTING OF TIRES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01119403
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a handy device by providing two sets of tire levers in such a way that they come into contact with each other and leave from each other by a cylinder and constituting each tire lever 2 by a tightening mechanism tightening a rim end due to pneumatic pressure.

CONSTITUTION: A piston rod 6a protrudes in the direction of rim F due to the operation of a tightening cylinder 6 on one side to hold the rim F firmly between a holder 7 and the piston rod 6a. Consequently, a tire lever 5 is locked at a position above the rim F. During this time, a tightening cylinder 6 on the other side is at a reverse step, namely, in an operation release state. This operation is synchronized with reciprocal movement of a main cylinder 3, namely, the operation that brings an angle joint 8 into contact with and leaves it to move the rim F like a crab. Consequently, a tire can be mounted and demounted by operating the tightening cylinders 6 alternately and continuously in synchronization with the operation of the main cylinder 3. As a result, a handy device is obtained due to this configuration.
