Abstract:
To provide an apparatus for producing hydrogen at a low electrolysis voltage; a method for producing hydrogen; and a fuel cell power generator using the hydrogen produced at the low electrolysis voltage.
The apparatus 1 for producing hydrogen H2by introducing water (S) and a reducing gas (D) therein comprises: a cathode 12 which separates water (S) into hydrogen H2and oxygen O2-through electrolysis; an anode 14 which makes the reducing gas react with oxygen; a diaphragm 10 which is arranged between a cathode chamber 20 that accommodates water to be electrolyzed in the cathode and an anode chamber 40 that accommodates the reducing gas (D) to react with oxygen in the anode, and defines the cathode chamber and the anode chamber; and a hydrogen separation member 22 which separates hydrogen generated by electrolysis from water. The fuel cell power generator 6 has: the apparatus 1 for producing hydrogen; and a fuel cell 60 for introducing the produced hydrogen H2therein and generating electricity.
