To provide a novel apparatus for regenerating waste plastic which can wash, select, and recover waste plastic effectively and can recycle it economically.

Waste plastic chips, after being washed by being mixed/agitated in pure water in a washing mixer 1, are introduced to a separator 2 to be selected into the chips which float on the water surface and the chips which precipitate. After that, the separated chips are separated from washing water and recovered in a chip recovery part 3 to be recycled.
