PURPOSE: To enable an efficient removal of oil mist by arranging a filter and a ventilation chamber outside a fan and by gradually enlarging the ventilation chamber in a direction of rotation of the fan.
CONSTITUTION: Air drawn into a straightening box 2 through an inlet 1 of an oil mist removing apparatus is passed through a fore filter 3 and blown out of a dram 8 by a fan 7. A rotating filter 9 is set at the dram 8 and a fixed filter 10 is arranged outside the dram 8. The air, after passing all of them, is blown out of an air outlet 13 by way of a ventilation chamber 11 and a guide hole 12. The ventilation chamber 11 is formed so as to enlarge gradually its volume in a direction of rotation of the fan 7 with a spirally formed guide wall 14. Accordingly, the air out of the fixed filter 10 is sent out to smoothly that an efficient removal of oil mist is achieved.
