To improve the operating efficiency by making waste straw bundles dropped in a vertical posture hardly fall on the ground surface and enabling the omission of labors in operations to reerect waste straw bundles by an operator and further the practice of subsequent operations to collect the waste straw bundles in a short time.

This apparatus for three-dimensionally releasing waste straws is obtained by supporting a releasing and conveying mechanism 21 for receiving waste straw bundles, bound with a waste straw binding device and delivered thereto, nipping the side of ear tips thereof, hanging and conveying the waste straw bundles and releasing the waste straw bundles so as to drop in a vertical posture directing the side of plant feet thereof downward on a supporting frame 22, installing a waste straw bundle retention part 25 for nipping a set number of the waste straw bundles and making the waste straw bundles stay therein on the conveying terminal end side of the releasing and conveying mechanism 21 so as to enable the free changeover from an operative state to an inoperative state in which the retention thereof is released, arranging a sensing means for sensing the number of bundles of the waste straw bundles fed to the waste straw bundle retention part 25 and further installing a controlling means for changing over the waste straw bundle retention part 25 into the inoperative state so as to collectively drop the set number of the waste straw bundles in a vertical posture when sensing the set number of the waste straw bundles with the sensing means.
