To provide an apparatus for transplanting a tree designed to be set in a prescribed position by self propelling of heavy equipment and directly transfer a separated tree together with clods around the root.

This apparatus for transplanting the tree is provided with a pair of left and right stretchable arms telescopically engaging with movable arms in the shaft direction of base arms and is composed so as to install mounting parts on the heavy equipment in the base arms. Outriggers are mounted on the base arms of the stretchable arms. A power cutting mechanism is demountably mounted between tips of the movable arms of the left and right stretchable arms. A sledge member is demountably connected to a space between the tips of the movable arms of the stretchable arms or the cutting mechanism. A spacer for expanding the transverse width may be interposingly installed between mounting members on a frame in lateral parts of the heavy equipment and the base arms. One end of the power cutting mechanism is connected with a hinge. Furthermore, the sledge member is composed of a plurality of demountable sledge units.
