PURPOSE: To straighten a long steel tube for a pipeline, to measure its straightened accuracy, to measure its length, to cut it off, to wind a tape round its outer surface automatically at each stage.

CONSTITUTION: The long steel tube P for the pipeline wound in a coil shape is straightened by a straightening equipment 1 and its straightened rate is measured by a straightened accuracy measuring device 2. A pipeline length measuring device 3 measures the pipeline length automatically, a measured data of the pipeline length is recorded automatically, an automatical stop signal and an automatical cutoff signal are given, a pipeline cutoff device 4 cuts off a straightened pipeline and the cutoff place is finished. A device 5 for winding a tape round the outer surface winds the tape round the outer surface of the straightened pipeline. Guides 6 with rollers are used in drawing a long straight tube and hold the middle of the tube to prevent meandering. In this way, the straightened accuracy is promoted, working quality and working efficiency are improved and working results can be grasped by automatic data control and production control is made easy to be performed.
