Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain decrease in the error of average reception power at gain switching by monitoring the average reception power and instructing the prolongation of calculation time, when calculating the average reception power when this power becomes closer to power at which the gain of a gain switching means is to be switched.
SOLUTION: A mobile station is provided with an average time setting means 205 for setting average time, when calculating reception power to a reception power calculating means 201, for calculating the average power of a signal received by an antenna means. When the average power of the received signal at the antenna means becomes closer to a value at which the gain of the gain switching means is to be switched, the average time for calculating the reception power is prolonged and the error in the calculated result of reception power 202 in the case of switching the gain of the gain switching means is to be decreased. The average time setting means 205 decreases the error of the calculated result at the reception power calculating means 201, when switching the gain of the gain switching means and prevents the error in a transmission power control means 203 as well.
