Title:
AQUATIC ORGANISM ADHESION PREVENTION PIPE AND ITS MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000266242
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To make an aquatic organism hardly stick to the inside of a pipe by joining a pair of flanges with a skirt part to the both ends of a pipe molded by winding a reinforcing fiber with a resin impregnated therein or a tape on the outer circumference of a mandrel and lining a copper or copper alloy thin- plate pipe in the internal circumferences of them.

An FW pipe 10 is molded by a filament winding molding by which a fiber or a narrow-width tape is impregnated with epoxy resin, wound around a mandrel, and molded into a cylindrical shape. Metal or FRP flanges 20 with skirt parts 40 having a plurality of annular grooves 50 in their external cone faces are connected to both sides of the FW pipe 10. Copper or copper alloy thin-plate pipes 30 are lined inside the flanges 20 and the FW pipe 10. Owing to this constitution, the aquatic organism is hardly stuck to the inside. Moreover, the FW pipe 10 has superior corrosion resistance so as to hold the initial mechanism for a long time. The adhesion strength between the skirt part 40 of the flange 20 and the FW pipe 10 is large so as to be superior in the durability.
