PURPOSE: The titled composition with excellent dispersion stability, water resistance and corrosion resistance, prepd. by compounding a mixture of a power paint and a carboxyl group-contg. water-soluble resin, with a specified rust- proof pigment.
CONSTITUTION: Water and a neutralizing agent wuch as triethylamine are added to a carboxyl group-contg. water-soluble resin such as maleinized polybutadiene of 1,000W4,000 average MW, of which the carboxyl group is neutralized by adjusting the pH to 7W10, to obtain an aq. resin soln (B). Then a mixture of → a powder paint (A) of 1W100μ particle size cinsisting of a resin such as epoxy resin, a crosslinking agent, an extender pigment, a coloring pigment, etc. and the component B in a wt. retio of A/B of 0.1W100 based on the solid, is compounded with 1W20pts.wt., per 100pts.wt. component A, zinc and/or Ca molybdate as a rust-proof pigment.
