PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of thread processing that is executed by a plurality of arithmetic processing units that an arithmetic processing device has.SOLUTION: The arithmetic processing device has a plurality of arithmetic processing units 10 and 20, and a holding unit 30 shared by the plurality of arithmetic processing units, each of the plurality of arithmetic processing units having: execution units 12 and 22 for executing a thread; control units 14 and 24 for causing the holding unit to hold arrival information indicating that a process due to execution by one of the execution units that the arithmetic processing units have has reached a single thread that is the thread executed by only one of the execution units that the arithmetic processing units have; and determination units 16 and 26 for determining, on the basis of the arrival information held in the holding unit, whether or not to have the single thread executed by the execution unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
