To make maximum use of a height-direction space, improve a proportional constant value which determines the relation between a torque and copper loss, reduce the loss of a rotating electric machine, and improve its efficiency value and characteristic by using a partially laminated core, in combination with a radial rib winding.
The axial-direction center part of a laminated core 1 is made of a laminate of core strips having a radial rib-shaped core section 1b and a facing core section 1c, and partially laminated cores 3 are furthermore piled up from both axial-direction sides on the parts corresponding to the confronting core section 1c of the laminate. Then a total axial-direction lamination thickness being the sum of that of the partially laminated core 3 and that of the confronting core section 1c is made larger than that of the radial rib-shaped core section 1b. If the partially laminated core 3 is used in combination with the radial rib winding in which way, maximum use of a height-direction space can be made, to prevent the coil elements from worsening as well, its loss is reduced, and the efficiency value of the motor can be improved.
