Abstract:
To obtain aromatically substituted omega-amino-alkanoic acid amide and- alkanoic acid diamide have renin-inhibiting properties and useful as antihypertensive active ingredients of medicaments.
A compound of formula I [R1 is 2-Ra-3-Rb-phenyl, 2-RA-4-RC- phenyl or the like (one of RA and RB is an aliphatic group or the like, and the other is H, an aliphatic group or the like; RC is H, an aliphatic group or the like); R2 is an aliphatic group; R3 is amino or the like; R4 is an aliphatic group, an aromatic group or the like; R5 is an aliphatic group, a heterogeneous aryl group or the like; one of X1 and X2 is C=O, and the other is methylene], for example, (2S,4S,5S,7R)-N-(4-amino-7-butylcarbamoyl-5-hydroxy-2-isopropyl- octyl)-2-(3-methoxypropoxy)-benzamide. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II (Y1 is a lower alkyl or the like; Y2 is H or the like; Y3 is H or the like; Y4 is etherified hydroxyl or the like) with an amine of the formula: H2N-R5.
