PURPOSE: To form a plane antenna with small mutual coupling between feeders while keeping broad band in the axis ratio by using plural circularly polarized antenna elements arranged in the same direction so as to form a subarray and arranging the subarrays while being turned by 90° with respect to the antenna face.
CONSTITUTION: A subarray is constituted by taking one group of four antenna elements as a unit, and four subarrays A-D form a plane antenna. The elements 1 belonging to a same subarray are arranged in the same direction. The direction of the antenna elements in a subarray is turned by 90° with respect to the adjacent subarrays. An incoming circularly polarized wave is caught by each antenna element 1 and combined in a same amplitude and same phase by a feeder 3a and a power synthesizer 4a in the subarray using the subarrays A-D as a unit, then synthesized by a feeder 3b and a power synthesizer 4b and inputted in the same phase at terminals a-d of a power synthesis section 7 via an output terminal 5 of each subarray and a feeder 6. The power synthesis section 7 synthesizes outputs of the subarrays A-D by adjusting the phase.
