PURPOSE: To contrive to lighten without reducing the durability against inner pressure increase at the time of generation of inside arc as compared with the conventional constitution and reduce a price.
CONSTITUTION: A thickness of a cylindrical part excluding bolt parts 11, 12 at both ends of an insulating cylinder 1A receiving an arrester element 10 is substantially same in the dimension as that of a valley part of the bolt parts 11, 12, whereby the insulating cylinder 1A, or the arrester, is lightened. As the weakest part towards the inner pressure of the insulating cylinder 1A is this valley part, even if the dimension of a cylindrical part 13A is fitted to that of a thickness in this part, a strength towards an abnormal inner pressure increase does not decrease. By lightening the insulating cylinder 1A, such expanding effects are caused that the bolt part and a nut part are simplified, fittings or the like are lightened, and a supporting structure of the arrester is simplified and lightened to contribute to a reduction in a price the arrester containing the supporting structure.
