Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the arrival angle of an incoming wave and delay time by converting reception signals from a plurality of antennas into a base ban, outputting them, obtaining the correlation between reception base-band signal groups and periodic signals delayed by delay time candidates, and outputting the delay time candidate in which its electric power reaches at its peak. SOLUTION: Reception base-band signal groups X1 (i) to X0 (i) are inputted from input terminals 251 to 25q to correlators 611 to 61q . A delay circuit 62 delays a periodic signal outputted by a periodic signal generator 63 by a delay time candidate outputted by a delay time counter 4 and outputs it. The correlators 61 calculate the correlation between the signal groups X1 to Xq and the delayed periodic signals and outputs it as a correlation signal group for every period. The electric power of a correlation signal is obtained by absolute value squaring circuits 651 to 65q and added by an adder 66. Its peak is determined by a peak detector 67, and a delay time candidate is outputted from an output terminal 69. A detector 67 controls a gate circuit 68 to pass only the signal group of delay time candidates which reach their peaks. Arrival angles are estimated by an arrival angle estimating circuit and outputted.
