To provide a simple-structured article fall preventive device in a storage cabinet, capable of easily changing the height of a fall preventive rod according to the article mounted on the cabinet, and being easily attached to an existing storage cabinet.

The fall preventive rod 13 comprises a horizontal rod 13a in the left/right direction, a pair of left and right pivot rods 13c parallel to the horizontal rod 13a at equal distances in the same direction from both ends of the horizontal rod 13a, and a pair of left and right vertical rods 13b connecting the horizontal rod 13a and the respective pivot rods 13c. A bracket 12 comprises a guide part 16 for holding the pivot rods 13c of the fall preventive rod 13 in such a way as rotatable around their axes and movable upward/downward, and upper and lower receiving parts 18 and 21 to be selectively locked with a side end of the horizontal rod 13a of the fall preventive rod 13 above and below the guide part 16.
