An article sample display device for a vending machine, which is installed in a display chamber of a vending machine and has the display stand 7 on which a plurality of openings 72 fitting and holding a plurality of article samples 80 composed of a light-transmissive material, includes a holding means (e.g., protrusion 74) for abutting the samples 80 near by the openings 72 of the display stand 7, and eliminating rattling of the samples 80 to tightly hold the samples 80 to the display stand 7, and firmly fixes the samples 80 on the display stand 7 by filling the gaps between the samples 80 mounted on the display stand 7 and the display stand 7 to eliminate the rattling with the holding means (e.g., protrusion 74).
