PURPOSE: To prevent an article to be packed from slipping from a pinching part by stabilizing the pinching attitude of the article to be packed by means of an extruding lever and a pressing lever during the transfer operation of the article to be packed from a sectioning device to a pinching device even if the article to be packed is formed into flat or a rugby ball shape wherein upper and lower both surfaces are expanded like a circular arc.

CONSTITUTION: When an article to be packed M is transferred to a packing function part from a holding part, the article to be packed M is extruded from the holding part by a head part 21a of an extruding lever 21. An armular projecting part having the diameter smaller than that of the article to be packed M is formed on the facing contact side end to the article to be packed M of the head part 21a, and the attitude at the time that the article to be packed M is extruded by the head part 21a is set so that its axial direction may be matched to the operating direction. Thereby the pinching attitude of the article to be packed M is stabilized by line-contact of the armular projecting part of the head part 21a with the circular arc-like surface of the article to be packed M in the transfer operation to the packing function part even if the article to be packed M are formed into flat or a rugby ball shape wherein upper and lower both surfaces are expanded like a circular arc.
