Abstract:
A prosthetic capsular device comprising: a posterior side; an anterior side including an opening configured to allow insertion of an intraocular lens to be engaged at a position within the prosthetic capsular device; a straight portion between the anterior side and the posterior side; a tapered portion tapering from a diameter of the straight portion to a diameter of the opening on the anterior side; and an internal lip configured to secure an intraocular lens in the device, the internal lip running continuously around the inside of the prosthetic capsular device.
