Abstract:
To obtain both a modified asphalt composition having excellent flow resistance, abrasion resistance, aggregate-holding performances, etc., as a material for pavement and economic efficiency and to provide a pavement using the same.
This modified asphalt composition is obtained by adding reclaimed rubber to a heated and melted asphalt in the ratio of 95-70 wt.% of an asphalt and 5-30 wt.% of reclaimed rubber and kneading the mixture until the aggregated bulk of the reclaimed rubber is eliminated. This pavement is obtained by using the composition.
