To provide an asphalt composition from which an asphalt mixture having large fracture strain, stress relaxation property and vibration damping property, being excellent in deforming follow-up property and crack resistant property, absorbing vibration properly and having stability to plastic deformation by flow or the like can be constructed by mixing the composition with an aggregate to harden at a predetermined state and to provide an asphalt mixture.
The composition is an asphalt composition containing asphalt, a thermoplastic elastomer, a process oil and a ductile material, wherein the ductile material enhances the ductility and the malleability of the asphalt composition without reducing the elasticity of the thermoplastic elastomer and the softness of the process oil, the content of the thermoplastic elastomer is 5 to 20 mass %, the content of the process oil is 10 to 40 mass %, the content of the ductile material is 1 to 5 mass %. The asphalt mixture is prepared by mixing the asphalt composition with the aggregate to harden at a predetermined state.
