To provide an asphalt composition capable of forming an asphalt pavement (asphalt mixture) which has good characteristics while having good workability.
An asphalt composition contains asphalt, a first resin, and a second resin, wherein the asphalt composition contains a bisphenol type epoxy resin as the first resin and contains a petroleum resin or a synthetic resin as the second resin. The bisphenol type epoxy resin has a melting point of 60-150°C. Also, the second resin has a softening point of 60-150°C, and a SP value, which is a solubility parameter, of 8.40-12.40. Thus, the asphalt pavement (asphalt mixture) excellent in durability can be obtained without diminishing miscibility and workability upon construction by adding the epoxy resin and the petroleum resin or the synthetic resin to the asphalt composition.
