To provide an asphalt composition which is used for a dewatering pavement, has a high mechanical strength, a high viscosity at a low temperature (60°C), a low viscosity at a high temperature (200°C), and a high composition stability, and gives a highly balanced asphalt pavement with a good Cantabro loss factor.

The asphalt composition is obtained by mixing (I) an asphalt composition prepared by thermally melt mixing asphalt with (A) a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a vinylaromatic compound with a conjugated diene compound and/or (B) a block copolymer consisting of a polymer block mainly comprising a vinylaromatic compound and a polymer block mainly comprising a conjugated diene compound with (II) a 2-chloro-1,3-butadiene polymer and/or a 2,3-dichloro-1,3-butadiene polymer.
