To obtain a reforming material which has an excellent solubility and dispersibility to asphalt and is granulatable by blending an epoxidized dien block copolymer, a foaming agent, a rubbery polymer and a syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene.
One hundred pts.wt. of an asphalt reforming material is obtained by blending (A) 10-100 pts.wt. of an epoxidized dien block copolymer having a number average molecular weight of 5,000-1,000,000, a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of not more than 10 and an epoxy equivalent of 320-8,000, (B) 0.5-20 pts.wt. of a foaming agent, (C) 20-80 pts.wt. of a rubbery polymer which is other then the component (A) and the following component (D), and (D) 80-20 wt.% of a syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene having a weight average molecular weight of 10,000-1,000,000, a limiting viscosity of at least 0.7 (its toluene solution, at 30°C), a degree of crystallinity of 5-50% and a 1,2-bonding ratio of at least 70%. A reformed asphalt composition is obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. of asphalt and 0.1-30 pts.wt. of this asphalt reforming material.
