To provide an assembly working device capable of applying working treatment to the positions of all five faces including the upper face and four side faces of a workpiece by one assembly working device (station) at a lower cost and in a short cycle time.
This assembly working device is provided with head means 20, 30 movable only in a Y-axis direction to apply treatment such as fastening of a plug and pressing-in of a pin to the workpiece 1; a workpiece rotating means 40 for rotating the workpiece 1 within an X-Y plane; and a control means for controlling to move the head means 20, 30 in the Y-axis direction and to rotate the workpiece 1 by the workpiece rotating means 40 to position the head means 20, 30 in a target position on the workpiece 1. The head means comprises an upper face head 20 for treating the upper face of the workpiece, and a side face head 30 for treating the side face, and these heads are controlled to integrally move only in the Y-axis direction. Work with delicate angles as well as all the side faces can be coped with by the rotating means.
