Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a cell control system to suit to communication of burst data by permitting passing of burst data when the transmission band is secured and applying abort control to all cells of burst data when the band is not secured.
SOLUTION: An output line L5-1 is provided with plural queue filters 12-1-12-1m, plural PVC allocation circuits 13-11-13-1m, plural FIFO buffers 14-11-14-1m, a selector 15-1 and a band control table 16-1 connecting to the selector. When plural burst data going to a same output line are given to the switching system in timewise duplicate, only cells belonging to one or plural burst data specified at the arrival of a head cell of each of the burst data are passed and cells belonging to the other burst data are controlled to be aborted. Thus, cells of burst data whose transmission band is secured are surely transferred without cell abort.
