Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow different kind access terminals to send/receive an added file. SOLUTION: An added file conversion processing device 2 keeps in contact with an electronic mail server 1 to extract an added file from a built-in mail box 6a, to execute an application software 24 corresponding to a file extender of the added file and to store the result in a file form (its file extender is txt) consisting of character string data and control codes only to a work file. In this case the form information is stored separately. Then the form information and contents of the added file after conversion are sent to an access terminal 38 other than a PC terminal. On the other hand, in the case of sending a mail text with an added file from an access terminal 38 to the PC terminal, the added file conversion processing device 2 receives sequentially the added file information and stored data in a form of character string data from the access terminal 38 and starts an application software 24 corresponding to the added file information and gives entry data to stored data. Then the data are stored in a work file by using a function of the application software.
