Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reproduce a video signal corresponding to an audio signal with fidelity as high as possible by a calculating previously the time required for access and starting the access in view of the calculated time. CONSTITUTION:An output of a control code detecting part 56 and an output of a head driving control part 11 are received by an access time calculating part 10 as its inputs, and the time required for moving a head to a video track corresponding to a time base compression audio signal is calculated. Outputs of the access time calculating part 10 and an alarm signal generating part 57 are received by the head driving control part 11 as its inputs, and a head driving part 51 is controlled in order that an expanded audio signal should not be broken, while access to a track of a video signal corresponding to an audio signal should last as long as possible. Then, the following audio signal is inputted, and moreover the time which would require for accessing a video track for a video corresponding to the above signal is previously calculated, and then after an alarm signal A is outputted, the access is commenced in view of this calculated time. By this method, the video corresponding to the audio signal can thus be reproduced with fidelity.
