To provide a system and method for authentication based on the content of a binary graph.
An electronic file having the content of a graph is received. Then, an object level expression of the graph content is generated and authentication information is added to the electronic file based on the object level expression. Then, the object level expression is authenticated by text authentication algorithm. Thus, a bridge is constituted from the graph to a text by a character level and the graph is authenticated using appropriate text document authentication algorithm. When pixel level precision is required for the graph, authentication at a pixel level is added. This layer enables an owner to detect the change in the pixel level of the graph and simultaneously to specify the position. The levels of both authentication are arbitrarily selected depending on the application.
