In biometrics data used for authentication, a partial area which can uniquely be decided by time stamp data is destroyed and it is used with the time stamp data. In authentication, previous authentication performance history is collated with the time stamp data and collation data of high priority are taken out from the database by considering the destroyed partial area decided by the time stamp data. Priority is given to data after authentication as collation data and the data are accumulated in the database. Same biometrics data cannot be used with different time stamp data and the secondary use of biometrics data is prevented and authentication data are used again. Thus, efficient authentication corresponding to a change with the passage of time is supplied.
