An authentication processing apparatus includes: a table which associates user specification information uniquely specifying users with user attribute information specifying users' belongings; a table which prescribes authentication permission time zones when entrance to arbitrary physical areas is permitted; a table which specifies door information specifying doors for partitioning of entering and leaving prescribed physical areas; and a table which associates user attribute information, authentication permission time zones, and door information with one another. Authentication processing is performed on the basis of the associated authentication permission time zone from user attribute information acquired on the basis of user specification information, and one of authenticated authentication permission time zones is determined on the basis of a prescribed rule when a plurality of pieces of user attribute information associated with the user specification information are present.
