This authentication system has: a secret information input part 11 for inputting secret information of a prescribed digit number; a biological information input part 21 for inputting the biological information; a first authentication processing part 12, 13, 22, 23, 31 having storage parts 12, 22 previously storing collating secret information and collating biological information; and a second authentication processing part 4 performing authentication processing on the basis of a signal from the first authentication processing part 12, 13, 22, 23, 31. The first authentication processing part 12, 13, 22, 23, 31 starts the biological information input part 21 when the secret information inputted to the secret information input part and the collating secret information accord, collates the biological information inputted to the biological information input part 21 and the collating biological information, and generates and outputs a cipher password of a longer digit number than the secret information when they are accord. The authentication processing part 4 performs the authentication processing on the basis of the cipher password.
