Abstract:
PURPOSE: To finish grind large parts of a gas turbine engine to finish simultaneously a plurality of separate part areas that need metal finishing.
CONSTITUTION: A part handler transfers a metal part 29 to a single spindle 15 and the part 29 is inserted into an abrasive slurry vessel 13 by the spindle 15 to impart rotation, oscillation, and pendulum motion to the part 15 in a particularly agitated slurry.
