Abstract:

To improve carrying capacity in an automated warehouse having a plurality of stages of shelves superposed in the vertical direction.

This automated warehouse 1 has a plurality of stages of belt conveyors 3, a plurality of article storage shelves 2a and a transfer device 4. The plurality of stages of belt conveyors 3 are superposably arranged in the vertical direction, and a device for carrying an article W. The plurality of article storage selves 2a are arranged in the carrying direction of the belt conveyors 3. The transfer device 4 is arranged separately from the article storage shelves 2a, and is a device for making the article W go in and out between the belt conveyors 3 and the article storage shelves 2a.
