Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic analyzer capable of automatically determining the type of a foreign body adhering to a tip of a nozzle.SOLUTION: An automatic analyzer includes an image determination unit. The image determination unit images a sample dispensation nozzle 20 with an image unit 18 before a sample is discharged to a reaction container 10, so as to determine that a foreign body adhering to the sample dispensation nozzle 20 is fibrin or a separation agent by comparison of the captured image with a pre-stored image of the sample dispensation nozzle 20, which is captured during normal dispensing operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
