Abstract:
PURPOSE: To distinctly distinguish in which area the object concerned is positioned by furnishing a wireless link between an area monitoring interrogator and an object loading transponder.
CONSTITUTION: A first interrogator 12a makes focusing of a first directional antenna 18 onto a first area 28a, while a second interrogator 12b focuses of a second directional antenna 18 onto a second area 28b. From the first direction antenna 18, the first electric field intensity pulses 44 are transmitted, and the second intensity pulses 46 are transmitted from the second directional antenna 18. In an object loading transponder 14, the first field intensity pulses 44 are compared with the second intensity pulses 46, and the result from comparison allows judgement in which area the transponder 14 is positioned.
