Title:
AUTOMATIC CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION WITH INFINITE CHANGE GEAR RATIO
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3440739
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the select time lag from being longer, eliminate fluctuation in the select time lag to improve the operability.
SOLUTION: In a vehicular automatic continuously variable transmission, in which planetary gears are combined with a continuously variable transmission unit, and the transmission gear ratio can be continuously controlled from forward gear to backward gear, including an infinite transmission gear ratio, when the transmission gear ratio of the transmission unit during the time of neutral range is a first specified value, the transmission gear ratio of the transmission unit at the time of forward starting is a finite second specified value, and the transmission gear ratio of the transmission unit at the time of backward gear is a finite third specified value, the first specified value is regarded as an about central value between the second specified value and the third specified value, a starting element 24 permitting slipping rotation is provided, and a control means 30 for controlling the starting element 24 so that transmission output is kept to be stopped in relation to transmission input when the range is switched to forward gear range or backward gear range.
