To obtain a unit for automatically draining water remaining in a hot water supply apparatus or a line connected therewith upon elapsing a specified time after power interruption or turn off power.
A hot water delivery pipe 4 being coupled with a hot water supply apparatus is connected with a water supply pipe 3 provided with a water supply solenoid valve 10 while traversing, a spring 14 charged sliding shaft 11 provided with gate means A, B and C is disposed in a cylinder having a drain outlet 7 at the lower end and a heater thermo element 27 provided with a piston having a switch 31 of the solenoid valve 10 is disposed at an upper part of the cylinder while being urged normally downward by a spring 26. When power is supplied, the sliding shaft is pushed down to form a pipe line and the water supply solenoid valve is opened. When power is interrupted, the water supply solenoid valve is closed and the piston of the thermo element 27 retracts upon elapsing a specified time. Consequently, the sliding shaft is moved upward by the spring 14 to interconnect the lines 3 and 4 through the cylinder thus draining water naturally.
