Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency and to save fuel consumption, by making the opportunity of engine stop adjustable depending on the using conditions of the locomotive, when waiting for the next turn on a diesel locomotive which has a remote control means consisting of a radio set. CONSTITUTION:When the command signal received by a radio set 1 is one except 'run command', the engine r.p.m. detected by a sensor 8 is a value in the vicinity of the engine r.p.m. during waiting, the brake is working, the clutch is on the neutral position, and the speed of vehicle is zero, a timing command is output from the operation logic section 2 to the timer circuit 4 of an automatic engine stop circuit 2A. Then, when the above each condition is not changed within the set up time of the timer circuit 4, an engine stop signal is output to the contact point output circuit 5, and the engine is stopped through a vehicle control circuit 7. On the other hand, when even any one of the conditions is changed within this set up time, the timing of the timer circuit 4 is reset, and the vehicle control circuit 7 becomes to the condition possible to run.
