PURPOSE: To shorten a non-operating time when no information disk is loaded on a deck in case of reading plural information disks successively by one deck, by providing plural disk housing parts on a carrier.

CONSTITUTION: The plural disk housing parts 24 and 25 to house the information disks are provided on the carrier 13 which reciprocates between a stacker 5 and the decks 6 and 7. A head 26, when arriving at position A, is abutted with the stopper 27 of an elastic body fixed on the upper plane on the right side of the carrier 13, then, stopped, and each housing part 24 or 25 faces in an almost perpendicular direction in parallel with the information disk 4 housed in the stacker 5. Also, when it arrives at position B, the head is abutted with a stopper 28 formed in the same shape as the the stopper 27 fixed on the upper plane on the left side part of the carrier 13, then, stopped, and each housing part 24 or 25 faces in almost the perpendicular direction at the left side of a supporting plate 22. In such a way, it is possible to shorten then non-operating time.
