This automatic gas pressure welding equipment is composed of a pressure welding machine 9 butting and holding a pair of reinforcing bars 10, 10', a gas burner 8 heating the butting part and a pressurizing pump 36 pressurizing the butting part in the axial direction via the hydraulic ram 12 installed to the pressure welding machine. In this case, a pressure welding program starting device 5 is installed to the suitable place of the torch 4 of the gas burner so as to be freely attachable and detachable, memory cards stored the standard program every reinforcing bar diameter are applied to the pressure welding program controller 14 integral with the pressurizing pump 36 provided in the place away from the pressure welding work place, the pressure welding program corresponding to the reinforcing bar diameter is allowed to select, the pressure welding program controller is started by operating the pressure welding program starting device through the pressure welding operator operating the gas burner device 8, and the pressurizing pump 36 is operated in accordance with the pressure welding program.
